Welcome to The Other Way. This is the channel which shows you the other side of places you've probably never visited (& may never, although my hope is that one day, after seeing my videos, you might just want to).
Our aim is to offer an alternative insight and a breath of fresh air to destinations slightly off the beaten track. If you have heard of them, either forget everything you've ever seen on Western TV or read in the international media - or believe the opposite. You certainly will after watching.
Do you want to show us the best, funniest, quirkiest (& perhaps even the worst) that your town, city or country has to offer? We would love to come & visit you and see the place where you live so you can take us around. Get in touch with us by e-mail (details below):

Fort Kochi, Kerala | The Other Way
Kerala is where India’s link with Europe first began - in 1498 with the arrival of the Portuguese. If Vasco de Gama’s name isn’t as famous as that of Christopher Columbus, it certainly should be. Vasco’s journey was at the time the longest sea journey ever made by a European (many before him tried, and failed) and paved the way for the spice trade to flourish.
Fort Kochi contains a treasure trove of colonial architecture, as after the Portuguese came the Dutch, and eventually the British but in the mix were Jews and Chinese, all of whom left their mark on this peninsula in south west India.
Join Luc for a virtual tour through the past and the present:

Walking around Old Delhi - Part 1 | The Other Way
Delhi is divided into two parts, old & new, and the capital (after moving here from Calcutta) since 1911, is a great entry gate to begin your Indian adventure. The Red Fort is clearly the showpiece of the city but to really get to know the older part of Delhi, sharpen your elbows and dive into the chaos. You’ll never go hungry with so many varieties of street food available - and there are even...

Since I arrived in Bangalore a few weeks ago, many people have been asking me “so, what’s it like there”? Sure, I’ve posted a few pics on social media but no photos ever do a place justice, and this is particularly the case for anywhere in India. Check out part one of my new home, to get a taste of what daily life is like for the several millions of people who call Bangalore their home:

Kyrgyzstan is a landlocked country about as far as possible from the ocean. But what it lacks in coastline it more than makes up for in mountains and natural beauty. Begin in the capital, Bishkek which has recently undergone considerable change (for the better), yet retains its authenticity. Join me with twins, Aigerim and Aiperim as they show you around their home city:

Join me for a trip down memory lane to Yaroslavl, where I studied Russian in the spring and summer of 1994. Capital of the Golden ring, and UNESCO-listed, it’s a mere 3 hours away from Moscow by train (or a 40 minute flight; which we chose to get here). Locals will tell you to visit in the summer but it’s great in winter too, for a weekend away.

Uganda | The Other Way
Uganda was described as “The Pearl of Africa” by Winston Churchill when he visited in 1907, and this expression continues to be used by tour operators and Ugandans themselves, simply because there’s no better way to put it !! Less touristy than the usual African safari hotspots of Kenya, South Africa & Tanzania (perhaps because Uganda is landlocked), but you can see the Big 5 - and lots more in...

Travis Scot?!! 😮😮
I was born in Arkhanglesk and i was in an orphanage.
Super❤❤❤
Que lugar mas bello me gustaria ir

Seoul Grand Park Zoo in Korea Siberian tigers died of heat and starved to death Even if you get sick, if you're treated, you'll get better I couldn't even recover because I didn't receive treatment in time, and I'm dying after enduring. Seoul Zoo keepers don't work. They're not even experts. Even if the tiger died in the heat, it was left unattended for seven hours and died in pain. Their poor management is killing precious tigers. It is said that dying also makes poor tigers stuffed. Pay attention worldwide. Tell us the reality. These zoos have been certified as AZA. Such a zoo is a representative zoo in Korea. AZA certification should be disenfranchised and reprehensible. I got it from Russian President Putin I'm going to take the tigers from the Seoul Zoo who are descended from wild blood Russia wants to take it back. Seoul Zoo is a hell for animals. It's a zoo of death. Over 700 animals, from Siberian tigers, died in two years. Currently, a Siberian tiger named Joseph, who was born in Germany and came to Korea for breeding after receiving extreme care from the Czech Republic through AZA, also starved and became sick He's on the verge of death. Nevertheless, Seoul Zoo has been shameless, lying and showing no improvement at all. Please pay attention to poor tigers and animals so that they can live. This is the truth, and the reality is terrible.
Actually, Grozny translates best as "severe".
I grew up and lived there until 2010😌so many good memories pops in my mind when watching these views

Ohh wow you in delhi
Very nice 👍
Oh my, a further trip down memory lane! I spent a week travelling round Pyatigorsk/Kislovodsk/Teberda in 1995. It was lovely and sunny compared to Yaroslavl still being cold and full of half melted snow, it was like being on a summer holiday.
Lovely trip down memory lane for me as a fellow student in Yaroslavl years ago! Did you say you studied at Yartek? I did too, in spring and summer 1995. Unless Yartek moved between 94 and 95 I think you may have had the wrong number on ulitsa Nekrasova - it was at 39 in 1995, and according to google streetview the building is still there (though is no longer a language school). Was Viktor one of your teachers?
Tavis? Tavistock?
Travis? Travis Scott?
I studied for 3 years at Tomsk Polytechnic University. It's an amazing city with wonderful people 😍
What about part time jobs for students? What about Tomsk State University?
@@mtalhafaryad1609 there is no part time job for students and if you are so active will get a job in university which is rare for international students. Tomsk state university also is a good university and has lots of programs
And that’s where our passes crossed ( through Slava ) ! Great video! Lots of memories !
Good documentary with good images. Thanks for sharing.
Khabarovsk was originally the Chinese city of Boli, and in the middle of the 17th century, Cossacks led by Khabarov invaded the abode of the Daur and the Gun people of China. They occupied Yakusa, built fortifications, and brutally attacked, killed, and pillaged the local population. Taking hostages, burning cities, enslaying women and children, and committing horrific massacres, Khabarov's acts of aggression brought untold suffering to China.
🤡
❤
Good information
I think in all place names the word Mir (Мир) translates as Peace, not as World.
